Relevant Experience
Born in Sydney, Andrew has over 20 Years broking & underwriting experience gained in Australia and the UK.

Following a number of senior underwriting, development, and branch operational roles with NZI (now part of IAG) in New South Wales, Andrew was assigned to the Perth Scotland head office of its parent company General Accident Insurance in 1992, and spent 7 years in senior positions there and later in London.

Returning to Sydney in 1999, he was appointed as Account Manager with a major international insurance broker, having direct day to day responsibility for several key clients including perhaps the nation’s single most complex placement insuring the full assets and liabilities of the Federal Government of Australia.

Accepting a company transfer, Andrew and his family relocated permanently to Perth in 2001, taking up responsibility for a book of major corporate clients here. In 2003 he became one of the foundation shareholders in SBA, and now acts as either Managing Director or Alternate for most of our larger customers.

Andrew’s strong relationships with the Sydney and international insurance markets, gained from many years direct involvement in these environments, and his wide experience in large and difficult placements are an immense asset to both SBA and the clients with whom he works.
