Community

Whilst SBA trades successfully in a global market, we are also conscious of our obligation to support the community in which we live. To ensure we fulfill this calling SBA has since its inception maintained a formal policy of raising or donating 1% of turnover each year to charities.

Recent beneficiaries have included Youth Focus (assistance for young people at risk of suicide or self harm), the Australian Red Cross Tsunami Appeal, Fairbridge House (providing training for disadvantaged youth) and the West Australian Cancer Council (via the Relay for Life) amongst others. All SBA staff participate take part in these activities.

In March 2008 SBA also became to our knowledge the first Insurance Broking operation in Australia to declare Carbon Neutrality.

Where our customers are involved internationally we also work to help community organisations in these countries, normally in partnership with the client's own programs, or through international agencies like World Vision.
