Whilst SBA trades successfully in a global market, we are also conscious of our obligation to support the community in which we live. To ensure we fulfill this calling SBA has since its inception maintained a formal policy of raising or donating 1% of turnover each year to charities.

As at July 2010 the total aggregate amount contributed by SBA to worthy causes exceeded $250,000 with the recipients being many and varied, from ongoing medical research and disaster relief here in Australia, to poverty elimination measures in Asia and educational initiatives in Africa. All SBA staff participate in these activities.

To ensure this work is continued in perpetuity given the substantial base the business has now built, in April 2010 various SBA shareholders established the SBA Foundation, a formal Charitable Trust in the name of the company.

In March 2008 SBA also became to our knowledge the first Insurance Broking operation in Australia to declare Carbon Neutrality.
